In my past article on IsoBuster, I explained what are *.iso files: they are exact replicas of CDs and DVDs in one single file. In my Daemon Tools article, I showed how to read from these *.iso files as virtual CD/DVD drives to avoid re-burning them to disk. But, there are sometimes when burning an *.iso file is necessary.

PaperLess Printer: Virtual Printer that Saves Print Jobs to Files

I’m sort of an environmentalist. I find solar panels attractive, hybrid cars hot, and hydrogen-powered cars drop dead gorgeous. I feel guilty throwing away large amounts of paper or even a sheet of hardly-written paper.

That being said, I hate online receipts and confirmations. Ever experience the following scenario?

AVG Free Edition: Fast, Unobtrusive Virus Scanning Suite

We all (or I hope we all) know about the basics of computer optimization protection: anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall, and updates. Unfortunately, many do not realize that these protections are available for free. No need to buy McAfee or Norton! Although I believe that these are outstanding products, I get comparable (and often better) performance from simple, basic, no-frills free protection.
